PhD in Astrophysics at UCL • October 2018
PhD in Astrophysics on exoplanetary science. During the PhD I modeled and studied exoplanetary atmospheres using Bayesian frameworks and machine learning. I developed ExoGAN, a Generative Adversarial Network to model exoplanetary atmospheres and used the TauREx retrieval tool. As part of the ARIEL consortium, I demostrated that the ARIEL space mission can analyse at least 1000 atmospheres within 4 years. The Phd supervisor and co-supervisor were, respectively, Prof Giovanna Tinetti and Dr Giuseppina Micela. The second supervisor was Dr Ingo Waldmann. The PhD was concluded with aa thesis intitled "Characterisation of exoplanetary atmospheres: from target selection to feature recognition using deep learning".
